We perform court approved domestic violence assessments
and facilitate corresponding treatment groups
Our Domestic Violence Offender Assessments and Treatment Program are in accordance with the highest standards and regulations according to Utah Admin. Code 501-21-7 Section R501-21-7, the Utah Association for Domestic Violence Treatment (UADVT), the Utah Domestic Violence Offender Management Work Group (DVOMG), and the Domestic Violence Offender Management Commission (DVOMC).
Domestic violence offender assessments are in-depth and comprehensive. They require additional documentation to be provided by the client including, but not limited to, police incident reports of all violence cases the individual has been involved in.
The purpose of domestic violence assessments is to determine the individual’s risk of interpersonal violence and what level of care is most appropriate with the intention of increasing safety and decreasing the likelihood of reoffending.

One of the first steps in setting up an assessment is to obtain the required police reports. The other necessary step is to fill out the required paperwork which can be picked up from our office during office hours.
Once this is completed in full and the necessary police reports are provided, an appointment can be scheduled.

The cost of domestic violence assessments start at $150. We do accept most health insurances which may help cover the cost. There is also funding available through the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) specific to domestic violence treatment. To learn more, inquire within.

These reports are required in order to schedule a clinical assessment. One common way for individuals to obtain these reports is to request them in-person at the law enforcement agency where the incident was recorded. Another common avenue is requesting them online through a GRAMA (Government Records Access and Management Act) request. To learn more, visit Utah.gov.
